ROSEBURG, Ore. — A Glide man is in jail, accused of carrying a homemade bomb around in his backpack.
On Thursday, officers arrested 19-year-old Joseph Campos at the VA Hospital in Roseburg. They say he was walking around outside the building and acting unusual. Investigators say they found a softball-sized bomb with a fuse in his backpack.
Officers say it doesn’t appear that Campos had any intent of using the bomb and the Oregon State Police Bomb Squad disposed of it.
